Nestled in Jalan Bangkung, The Violet Flame opened its doors last month as a holistic shop and therapy centre focusing on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health we often neglect. It might not be fancifully, or stylishly decorated, but The Violet Flame remains a space that uplifts and comforts, giving its inhabitants a sense of complete ease. This could be due to the pyramids hidden beneath its carpeting, or the new age music that whispers encouraging chants, but we say its more due to the fact that The Violet Flame looks more like a home, its owner Li Yen equally as hospitable as its interior décor.
Li Yen, a pharmacist for five years, decided last October that healing doesn’t always have to do with a prescription of pills. She decided to break away from the corporate sector to heal people spiritually and emotionally as well. As such, she takes pride in encouraging and inspiring people to achieve their highest potential by helping them realise the power within themselves. While The Violet Flame carries an extensive variety of self-help books, healing crystals, aromatherapy, angel and tarot cards, therapeutic CDs and much more, it also hosts workshops, talks, therapy sessions and readings. It even has a de-stress room for private meditation.
The Violet Flame aims to assist their customers in discovering themselves better; be it inspiration, comfort, guidance or an escape from city-life stress. The Violet Flame is located at 67-2 Jalan Bangkung, Bukit Bandaraya, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. It’s open from 11am to 9pm daily. You can contact Li Yen at 03-20959868 to make therapy session reservations.
